From Bump to Baby: A Journey with Sarah, Marco, and Their Little Miracle

In March, I had the joy of welcoming Sarah and Marco into the studio for their maternity session, and then again in April for their newborn session with their sweet baby boy, Marco. Oh my goodness — he was such an easygoing little guy with the most adorable cheeks you’ve ever seen! Grandma even tagged along to watch the session and offer her support, which made everything feel even more special and connected.

We kicked off the newborn session with family portraits right at the start, so that once those were done, Sarah and Marco could fully relax while I focused on baby Marco. I know how beautifully chaotic those first weeks with a newborn can be, so I always aim to create a calm and supportive space where parents can take a breath, soak in the moment, and just be. My hope with every session is that families leave feeling refreshed, empowered, and reassured that they’re doing an incredible job — and maybe even head home with a few new baby-soothing tricks in their pocket!

What truly stole the show, though, were the family portraits. We recreated a few of the same poses from their maternity session using the stunning floral backdrop — and wow, Mom was radiant! We even captured some adorable images with baby Marco’s eyes wide open during the session, and I’m still swooning over those shots.

But the images that really tugged at my heart were the more intimate ones — Sarah wrapped in soft fabric, holding her baby close to her heart, and Marco holding his family in the most tender way. These are the moments that feel timeless, like little visual love letters to this brand-new chapter in their lives.

To bring a piece of their roots into the studio, I created a tropical-inspired set for baby Marco’s portraits — and his parents absolutely loved it! The session was beautifully prop-focused, and we wrapped it up with the classic “bum up” pose… which, let’s be honest, is always my favorite.

Every moment with this family felt like pure sunshine, and I’m so honored they chose to share this special season with me.
