The Mills Family Grows by One (And My Heart Grows Too!)


Last week, I had the absolute joy of welcoming Chanelle back to the studio — but this time, not for her maternity session, but with her brand new baby boy, Henrik. 💙 Moments like these are truly the heart of why I do what I do. Watching families grow is hands-down the greatest joy of my career.


It feels like just yesterday I was photographing his big sister, Kinzee, as a newborn — can you believe that was just 23 months ago? And now here she is, stepping into her big sister role like a total star.

She participated so beautifully during the session (seriously, she let me do her hair while mom was getting pampered by Janelle — what a little queen 👑).

While mom was relaxing and getting glammed up, I started Henrik’s solo portraits — and oh my goodness, he was amazing. So chill, so relaxed, and moved into each pose with such ease. He made my job easy!


Even the sibling portraits went off without a hitch. Kinzee was SO proud to show off her baby brother, which is always such a treat because we all know toddlers definitely have their own agenda! 😂 But she was all in, and it made for the sweetest little moments.


Just as we wrapped Henrik’s solo shots, dad arrived straight from work — perfect timing! We jumped into family portraits, and I brought back the cozy bedroom set for this session. It always creates those dreamy, relaxed, candid vibes that show off a family’s real connection. But don’t worry — I still did my classic poses too 😉 I’d love to know which ones you prefer!
