Some families become more than clients—they become part of your heart. For me, that’s exactly what Maddy and Dylan are. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of photographing not just one, but all three of their pregnancies and newborn sessions. Being invited into these tender chapters of their story has been such an honor, and every time, I feel inspired to create something even more magical than the last.
Baby Henri’s newborn session was no exception. We carried forward the beautiful tradition we’ve built together—those classic snug little wraps that tell the story of new beginnings. And oh, Henri gave us the sweetest gift: a tiny smirk during his bucket pose that melted all our hearts.
This session was also extra special because Maddy let me test out something I’ve been dreaming of offering—a newborn mini package! One wrap, three poses, and the perfect way to capture a few timeless images without committing to a full session. Henri was my little model for it, and the results couldn’t have been cuter.
And it wasn’t just his family who couldn’t get enough of him—even their cat had to be right there with us, soaking up his sweetness. She clearly knew Henri was someone special and didn’t want to miss a single moment.
Of course, newborn sessions always come with their own little stories. Henri was a bit jaundiced, but he decided this was the day to catch up on feeds. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a baby drink so much milk so quickly! It was exactly what his little body needed, and I was more than happy to just hang out with the family until he was ready to shine in front of the camera.
