Through the Years: A Love Story in Family Portraits

A few years ago, I had the absolute joy of meeting the Ettaher family for the very first time. Their daughter was just 8 months old—curious, bright-eyed, and full of wonder. We captured that special season of discovery as she explored her little world, surrounded by the love of her parents.

Since then, our journey together has blossomed into something so beautiful.

We reunited for her 1st birthday, a session filled with giggles and cake crumbs and big milestone energy. Then came mom’s maternity session for baby number two—glowing, radiant, and full of anticipation. I still remember how excited big sister was about becoming a sibling. Not long after, I had the honour of documenting their newborn session for their baby boy—tiny fingers, sleepy snuggles, and a whole lot of love.

And now… we’re back again. Baby boy is 8 months old (how?!), sitting up, crawling toward everything in sight, and bringing his own brand of personality to the camera. This latest session was full of beautiful chaos—the kind only young families can truly understand. There was laughter, spontaneous hugs, unexpected funny faces, and those funny in-between moments that somehow always end up being our favorites.

What I love most about this family is how real and present they are with each other. Every time we shoot together, I feel like I’m catching up with old friends. Their warmth, silliness, and connection are so effortless—and it shines through in every image.

This session is a celebration of love, growth, and the passing of time. The kind of session that reminds me why I do what I do.

Thank you, Fatmah and family, for trusting me to tell your story—one chapter at a time. 💛
